🦞 German Founder's Warning

Good Morning, OpenClaw Owners!
The stage where OpenClaw is finally escaping demo hell. For the first time it feels like people are building real habits around it instead of just showing off screenshots.
German Founder Thomas Derksen Warns the West

TL;DR: In a Business Insider report, German entrepreneur Thomas Derksen—after a decade in China—says OpenClaw is already mainstream there, powering micro-businesses and everyday use cases, while the West’s cautious mindset risks falling behind.
Brex Runs Company on OpenClaw

TL;DR: Brex founder Pedro Franceschi open sourced CrabTrap, the company’s security layer for running OpenClaw-style agents in production. The proxy sits between agents and the internet, intercepting every outbound request, applying static rules and LLM judgment, then logging every decision for auditing. Brex says it built the system because agents are useful, but nobody fully trusts them with real credentials yet.
OpenClaw 4.20 + 4.21 Just Dropped

TL;DR: OpenClaw v2026.4.20 and v2026.4.21 add Kimi K2.6, OpenAI Image 2, provider-aware /think, and a round of fixes for BlueBubbles, cron, plugin startup, npm upgrades, and channel reliability.
Highlights from these releases:
- 🧠 Kimi K2.6 support + provider-aware /think
- 🖼️ OpenAI Image 2 support
- 💬 BlueBubbles iMessage sends + tapbacks fixed
- ⏰ Cron state / delivery cleanup
- 🔐 Gateway pairing + plugin startup hardening
- 🔧 npm update repair for bundled plugins
- 🐳 Docker E2E coverage for channel dependencies
- 🩹 Low-risk fixes backported
Beyond Kimi 2.6 and Image 2 support, OpenClaw 2026.4.20 and 4.21 have mostly been cleanup-and-polish releases: better GPT-5/Codex behavior, smarter session and reply handling, cleaner onboarding, and tighter maintenance.
We’re still testing this release on MyClaw and found a major Telegram bug, so we’d suggest waiting before manually upgrading. We’ll roll it out once it’s stable.
Agents Can Now Pay

TL;DR: Alipay launched a new AI payment layer that lets OpenClaw-style agents make purchases and complete transactions with user approval. The service is already built into Alibaba Cloud’s JVS Claw and Ant Group’s DTClaw, while other agents like Claude Code and Hermes can install it directly. Beyond consumer payments, Alipay also introduced MCP servers, subscription billing, tipping, and payment integration tools aimed at turning AI agents into real commercial products.
OpenClaw Agents Gain VPN Control

TL;DR: OpenClaw agents can now control VPN settings through Windscribe integration, enabling automated region switching, traffic isolation, and improved privacy—addressing a key security gap as autonomous AI agents operate online.
OpenClaw’s Real-Life Reality

TL;DR: A Reddit thread asking what people actually use OpenClaw for in daily life turned into a reality check on where the ecosystem stands today. Some users described genuinely useful setups around inbox triage, family calendars, grocery planning, home automation, investment research, and work reporting.
Turn OpenClaw Into a Self-Updating Growth Engine

TL;DR: Rost Glukhov, a veteran software engineer and AI systems builder, shows how OpenClaw can evolve from a chat tool into an always-on GTM pipeline—combining browser automation, Firecrawl, and enrichment skills to continuously discover signals, structure data, and push high-intent leads directly into sales workflows.
MyClaw instantly match your preferences and workflows. From day one, your assistant actually feels like yours, not a generic chatbot pretending to learn.
